I bought a new watch recently (in fact I bought two as I fell in love with them both - but I am only talking about one today).

Now, that may seem an unusual topic for a blog post and you would be right in thinking so. The majority of you are probably wearing watches right now and wondering why am I blathering on about one! Well, I shall keep you in suspense no longer...

For the longest time I have worn a little purple watch. It wasn't expensive and certainly didn't look flashy. it was just simple and plain like me. About a year ago, I washed it. Are we even British if we don't have at least one weather related blog post?

We recently had our Carnival here in Fleetwood. Lots of people turned up in their finery and hoiked themselves up onto a wonderfully decorated float or walked the parade route displaying their talents to those of us lining the streets in eager anticipation. Would you believe it though.... the heavens opened up and down came the rain. Unlike dear incy, winch spider the participants were not washed away....merely drowned a little. They showed up waving and smiling to the crowds despite this atrocious weather. Real troopers and we applaud them all. Check out our Facebook page to see some of the videos we took.

We thought it was about time that we jumped on the bandwagon and started one of those blog thingamabobs.


We are so with all this new technology, 

(and by new we of course mean stuff that has been around for at least 5years but we have yet to fully embrace it because it does not involve wool and knitting needles) 

did you like the use of emojis (or is it emojii?) above? They say it is the way forward and we shall all be using them instead of proper words for full conversations - my English degree was definitely worthwhile doing then all those many moons ago!!
